VALHALLA
In Norse mythology, Valhalla was the great hall of the gods.
A place where warriors gathered after battle.
Where they rested, recovered, trained, ate and drank together and prepared to rise again.
Not for comfort.
For the next challenge.
Every day the warriors of Valhalla would test themselves.
They would push beyond exhaustion.
They would learn who they truly were.
And when the time came, they would stand side by side once more.
In 2027, a new gathering begins in the same manner but each warrior will rise each hour and test their physical and mental strength at The Valhalla Backyard Ultra.
Just minutes from central Stockholm, runners from across the Nordic nations — and beyond — will come together for an endurance challenge inspired by resilience, community and the spirit of the North.
A low-elevation 6.7km loop.
Day and night.
Hour after hour.
Until one runner is left standing.
This is not simply a race.
It is a test of patience.
Of discipline.
Of mindset.
Of who can keep moving when the body asks them to stop.
Through the daylight.
Through the darkness.
Into the Nordic dawn.
